Amazon FBA in the UAE and Saudi Arabia: What It Costs and When It Pays

Updated September 2026 · Hadjer Ben, COO

Amazon FBA in the UAE works the same way it does elsewhere: you send stock to Amazon, and Amazon stores it, ships each order and handles the customer. What differs is the price list. Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa each publish their own FBA fees, and the gaps between them, and the price line inside each, decide whether FBA makes money for your product. Every fee below comes from Amazon’s own pages, checked on 28 September 2026.

Is Amazon FBA available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia?

Yes, on both stores. Amazon’s Amazon.ae FBA page says that once you create a selling account “you are already registered for FBA”, and Amazon.sa runs the same programme.

In Amazon’s words, “you store your products in Amazon’s fulfillment centers, and we pick, pack, ship, and provide customer service for these products.” Amazon also states there is no minimum number of products you have to send.

What does Amazon FBA cost on Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa?

FBA has two main charges: a fulfilment fee per unit sold, set by the item’s size and weight, and a monthly storage fee based on the space your stock takes up. Both stores publish them on their pricing pages and add VAT on top.

The table shows a sample of tiers from the Amazon.ae fee schedule and the Amazon.sa fee schedule, both effective 1 August 2025. Amazon.ae figures are in dirhams, Amazon.sa figures in riyals.

The full Amazon.ae range runs from AED 5.5 for the smallest envelope to AED 41.5 for a 30 kg oversize item. Amazon deducts the fees from each payout, and our breakdown of Amazon.ae seller fees shows how the fulfilment fee combines with the referral fee and VAT on a real product. To run the numbers for your own product, use our Amazon FBA calculator for Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa.

Why does the 25 price line matter?

Every size tier has two rates: one for items selling at 25 or less, and a higher one above 25. On Amazon.ae, a standard parcel up to 1 kg costs AED 8.5 to fulfil at AED 25 and AED 10.5 at AED 26.

At the low end, the fee is a large share of the price. An AED 15 item in a standard envelope up to 0.5 kg pays AED 6.5 in fulfilment before the referral fee, which is why low-priced products often lose money on FBA. Our study of 41 kitchen tools on Amazon.ae found exactly that: peelers and kitchen scissors selling at AED 11 to 15 averaged a loss once fees were deducted.

The same line exists on Amazon.sa at SAR 25, and the step is not always the same size. A large envelope item goes from SAR 7.0 to SAR 9.0 when it crosses the line on Amazon.sa, and from AED 7.0 to AED 7.5 on Amazon.ae.

What does FBA storage cost, and when does it get expensive?

Storage is AED 2 per cubic foot per month on Amazon.ae and SAR 3 on Amazon.sa, charged on the daily average space your stock occupies. Units held for more than 365 days attract an additional long-term storage fee, and dangerous goods pay more.

Amazon’s own worked example on the Amazon.ae pricing page is a 47 × 12 × 10 cm unit, which measures 0.199 cubic feet. At AED 2, that unit costs about AED 0.40 a month to store, which is small per unit and large across a slow-moving pallet.

Amazon says storage is typically charged between the 7th and 15th of the following month. The practical rule is to send the stock you expect to sell, not the stock you happen to have: storage is cheap for fast sellers and expensive for anything that sits.

What do you get for the FBA fee?

Prime eligibility, Amazon-run delivery, customer service and returns. On Amazon.ae, Amazon says FBA products are eligible for Prime FREE One-Day Shipping; on Amazon.sa, Prime FREE Two-Day Shipping.

Amazon also says FBA listings carry the “Fulfilled by Amazon” label and can increase your chance of winning the Featured Offer. For a new brand, that means the delivery promise is Amazon’s rather than yours.

Is Amazon FBA worth it for a brand?

For small, light products that sell steadily on either store, usually yes. For items priced near or below 25, bulky stock that sells slowly, or dangerous goods, work the numbers first, because the fee or storage can take most of the margin.

FBA is not the only route. Amazon’s pricing pages list two alternatives: Easy Ship using Amazon logistics, and shipping orders yourself. A brand can run both, with FBA for fast sellers and its own fulfilment for large or slow items.

For a brand selling on both stores, the decision is made twice. The fee schedules differ, the Prime promise differs, and a product that pays on Amazon.ae can be marginal on Amazon.sa. Our Amazon account management team runs the calculation for each marketplace before any stock ships.

What does the FBA New Selection programme give new products?

Free shipping to an Amazon fulfilment centre, free monthly storage, free removals and free return processing, for eligible products new to FBA. Amazon describes it on both the Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa FBA pages as a limited-time offer with conditions.

Amazon says that once you enrol, the benefits apply to an unlimited number of new parent ASINs per year. For a launch, that lowers the cost of testing a product on FBA before committing to it. Check the current terms in Seller Central before planning around them, because Amazon changes promotions without notice.

How do you send stock to Amazon FBA in the UAE or Saudi Arabia?

Amazon lists five steps: set up your selling account, list your products as FBA, prepare them to Amazon’s packing guidelines, create a shipping plan and book a delivery appointment, then send the stock. Once it is received, it is available to buy.

  1. Account. Create a selling account; FBA is included. Non-resident brands should check our guide to selling on Amazon.ae without a UAE trade licence first.
  2. Listings. Add your products to the catalogue and set them to FBA inventory.
  3. Preparation. Pack and label to Amazon’s packing guidelines and routing requirements.
  4. Shipping plan. Create the plan, print Amazon shipment ID labels and book your appointment on Carrier Central.
  5. Delivery. Send the shipment to the fulfilment centre on the confirmed appointment.

Amazon.sa follows the same steps. For non-resident brands, Saudi VAT applies from the first sale when stock sits in a Saudi fulfilment centre: our guide to Amazon.sa VAT for non-resident sellers explains why, and our Amazon.sa launch work covers the full sequence.

The fulfilment fee runs from AED 5.5 per unit for the smallest envelope to AED 41.5 for a 30 kg oversize item, with a higher rate once the selling price is above AED 25. Storage is AED 2 per cubic foot per month, and VAT is added to every fee.
