The Amazon GCC
Seasonal Calendar.

Every major Amazon UAE and Amazon KSA commercial event — with the deal submission deadlines, inventory cut-offs and campaign lead times worked backwards from each date. Free to use, free to embed.

How to read the deadlines

Each event works backwards from the date. Deal submissions typically close 4–6 weeks ahead. Inventory needs ordering 10–12 weeks ahead to allow for manufacturing and freight.

Brands that start planning at the event date have already missed both.

Calendar planning for GCC seasonal Amazon campaigns

How to use this calendar

Every event above works backwards from its date, because that is the only way seasonal Amazon planning functions.

The dates themselves are the easy part — anyone can look them up. What decides whether you capture an event is when you started.

The five deadlines shown on each card map to real operational constraints:

  • 12 weeks out — order inventory. Manufacturing plus freight plus customs plus FBA check-in. Compress this and you risk arriving after the peak.
  • 8 weeks out — begin planning. Deal candidate selection, budget forecasting, creative briefing, keyword research for seasonal terms.
  • 6 weeks out — deal submissions close. This is the hard deadline. Miss it and an entire lever disappears for that event.
  • 4 weeks out — listings live. Seasonal copy, imagery and A+ Content published with time for indexing before demand builds.
  • 2 weeks out — scale ad budgets. Before competitive CPCs rise, not after. Building position ahead of an event costs materially less than buying it during.

Why 8 weeks, and why brands consistently miss it

The most common seasonal failure is not poor execution — it is late starts.

A brand notices Ramadan approaching four weeks out, discovers deal submissions closed a fortnight ago, and runs the period on organic demand alone while competitors run promoted deals.

The trap is that this repeats annually, because lunar dates move roughly 10–11 days earlier each Gregorian year.

A plan that felt comfortably timed last year is late this year if reused without adjustment.

That single fact catches out brands who have done it before, not just first-timers.

Build next year's plan the week after the event

The detail you need — which products sold, which campaigns worked, where you ran short, what CPCs actually reached — is fresh in the week after Eid or White Friday, and largely forgotten within a month.

Writing the post-mortem immediately takes an hour. Reconstructing it ten months later takes a week and produces worse answers.

What each event means commercially

Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr — the largest commercial period of the GCC year, with demand moving in four distinct phases rather than staying flat.

Pre-Ramadan stock-up favours food and home. The final ten days before Eid are the highest-intensity gifting window of the year across beauty, fashion, fragrance and electronics.

White Friday — the Gulf's Black Friday equivalent and the single largest discount event. Deal slots are limited and competitive. Electronics and high-AOV categories concentrate here.

Dubai Shopping Festival — six weeks of elevated spending from mid-December rather than a single spike. Sustained budget matters more than a burst.

National Days — UAE on 2 December, Saudi on 23 September.

Each drives distinct gifting demand in its own market, and neither has an equivalent in the other. Running one GCC calendar means missing one of them.

Amazon Prime Day — Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa run their own schedule, not always aligned to the global date. Confirm in Seller Central each year rather than assuming.

Back to school — August into September. Consistently one of the least competitive windows in the calendar because most brands do not plan for it at all.

What this calendar cannot tell you

It gives you the timing.

It does not tell you which products to promote, what discount depth to submit, how much to scale budgets, or whether your inventory position supports a deal at all.

Those answers depend on your margins, your category competition and your current ranking position.

If you want that layer, the free audit covers it — we will map your catalogue against the next two events and tell you what is realistic.

Lunar dates (Ramadan, Eid) shift roughly 10–11 days earlier each Gregorian year and depend on local moon sighting — expect ±1 day variation by country.

Amazon event dates are set by Amazon and can change; confirm in Seller Central.

White Friday is the largest single window on this calendar. The 2026 White Friday seller playbook works backwards from 28 November with the deadlines that actually bind.
