To sell on Namshi you need a registered business (a trade licence or commercial registration), VAT registration, a local bank account and a product catalogue that meets Namshi’s content rules. You apply for a seller account, Namshi reviews your brand and products, and once approved you ship stock to Namshi’s warehouse. Namshi delivers to the buyer, handles returns and pays you weekly. There are no setup or monthly fees; Namshi earns a commission of 4% to 27% depending on the category.
Widget System manages Namshi seller accounts for fashion brands, alongside Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa, Noon and Trendyol. This guide covers what we check before a brand applies.
Namshi is a fashion and lifestyle marketplace serving the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is owned by noon, which completed its acquisition of Namshi in 2023. Unlike an open marketplace, Namshi reviews the brands and products it lists.

A UAE or Saudi seller needs four things before applying: a trade licence or commercial registration, VAT registration, a local bank account, and a brand profile with a product catalogue.
Cross-border sellers based in the United States, Turkey or India can sell without a local trade licence, VAT registration or local bank account. Sellers from other countries can request an exemption.

Namshi charges no setup or monthly fee. It takes a commission of 4% to 27% of each sale, depending on the category. Your exact rate is set in your commercial agreement, so plan with a range until you have it.
| Illustrative example | AED |
|---|---|
| Price to the buyer, including 5% VAT | 210 |
| Price before VAT | 200 |
| Commission, if your agreement sets 20% | 40 |
| Left before product cost, freight, duty, marketing and returns | 160 |
Prices in your product feed exclude VAT, so build your margin on the VAT-exclusive price. The example is our own arithmetic; check the rate and basis in your agreement.

Each style needs a high-resolution main image and up to eight images in total, in JPEG at Namshi’s set aspect ratio. Each product carries a GTIN/EAN barcode, and cross-border sellers add a six-digit HS customs code. Titles and descriptions should be written for search.

Namshi decides returns, so a fit problem becomes a return you cannot refuse. Each one costs you the commission on the sale, the freight and the stock that comes back. The fix is upstream: garment measurements in the size chart and the same grading across every size.
Track returns by SKU and size, not by style. One bad size in a good style is a grading error you can fix, not a reason to drop the product.
For a first collection, abayas and modest occasion wear give a new brand the clearest starting point in the Gulf, with demand peaking around Ramadan and Eid. Modest activewear is a smaller niche to add once you know your size and return pattern.
Generic basics are hard to set apart from established labels, and a full kidswear range needs many sizes per style, which ties up stock at launch.
From our own client work: applying to Namshi directly is the slower route. For a fashion client we onboarded, opening a noon seller account first and then adding Namshi from that account was much faster. noon owns Namshi, so it is worth asking about this route before you apply on your own.
From a standing start, plan about three months: two weeks for documents, a month for range and samples, two weeks for photography, then listing and onboarding.
Yes. We manage Namshi, Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa, Noon and Trendyol accounts for fashion brands, with one catalogue and one stock plan, and run Meta and Google ads in step with that stock.

In our experience, through noon. For a fashion client we onboarded, opening a noon seller account first and adding Namshi from it was much faster than applying to Namshi directly.
Namshi lists registered businesses, so you need a trade licence or commercial registration. Cross-border sellers in the US, Turkey and India are exempt from the local licence requirement.
